My Story

Looking out the window on Bay Street on my first day as a therapist, it was as if I had entered an alternate universe. Having moved to Canada from the UK a few years before with a dream of continuing my legal career—finally being on Bay St. felt like home. But I was no longer the same person. Surrounded by law firms, waiting for my first therapy client—I felt an overwhelming sense of relief. I was not a lawyer anymore.

It had been a long journey. I had suffered. I had lost hope. I had been crushed. I had been isolated. But in that moment, I had broken free. After over a decade of living a life that felt meant for someone else, it was suddenly all behind me. At that moment, I realized I had finally found exactly where I was always supposed to be.

Therapy was a transformative experience for me. I found the strength to reconcile my cultural confusion as an immigrant and my purpose in life. Decades of inner conflict, confusion, anger, and anguish cleared and left me with peace. My sincere hope is to give others access to the resources I found in therapy so that they, too, can discover themselves and take authorship of their lives.

My Approach

My approach begins with creating space for you to express yourself and be yourself. We will then explore the main themes in your life, from your relationships, studies, and work. The next step is to understand your goals and any barriers to them. Along the way, I will draw from different therapy types to tailor an integrative style for your needs.
